Luxembourg meets the World
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located next to Spain at the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a very small country with only 6 square kilometers (2,3 square miles).
Brussels (Bruxelles in French) is the capital city of Belgium and also the capital of the EU. It is the largest city in Belgium with a population of 1,2 million. It was my very first time in Brussels, I mean for real. I was there before, but not to do sightseeing. My best friend studied there for 3 years, so we had a personal Brussels guide (thank you very much for showing us everything).
Maastricht is a town in the southeast of the Netherlands and it is the capital city in the province of Limburg. The river named Meuse (Maas in Dutch) is located in Maastricht. It has become famous by the Maastricht Treaty as the birthplace of the EU and the euro. It is a very popular city for students to study and also to shop.
Valkenburg is a village in the southeastern Dutch province of Limburg. Valkenburg was a fortified town and so it kept its historical charm. It was my very first time in the Netherlands although Luxembourg and the Netherlands had much in common in the past.
Neuhausen is a village in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland. Even though it’s a very small town, it attracts every year millions of people because of the Rhine Falls. It’s the biggest waterfall in the mainland of Europe.
