The Vila Vita Parc opened its doors in 1992 and became an instant success. Since 1995 it is part of the „Leading Hotels of the World“ and this is totally justified. When you enter the huge gate of the entrance, you get the feeling of being in another world. The Vila Vita Parc is located in the Algarve in Portugal. Over the years, the resort has evolved into what we now see.

Immediately when you enter the resort somebody takes care of you, your luggage and even your car. For some people this might be normal but I was already impressed by the fact that somebody else will park your car. This continued for the whole stay. Just everyone from the whole staff was so nice and kind that you feel immediately at home. As soon as you want to leave the hotel with the car, a stuff member will park it in front of the door, ready to start the adventure.

The Room

We stayed in a Deluxe Room with Seaview, which was very comfortable. I really liked it because of the size and especially the location of the room. It was located in the main building and so everything was reachable by foot from there.

The cleaning service came everyday in the morning and also in the evening, so your room could not be messy at any time. I really love to come into a room, which had been cleaned up before.

So I would retake this room at any time because I had immediately the feeling to be at home.

The Resort

The Resort of the Vila Vita Parc is huge and so it is quite normal that a golf car will drive you from one place to another. Even though I prefer to walk, we had to try those golf caddies some times.

To start the day, you can chose between two breakfast locations. One is in the main building and you have a garden view and the other one is in the clubhouse and there you’ll have an amazing view over the ocean. However, the clubhouse is only for adults and so you can’t have your breakfast there when you are traveling with your kids. I preferred the clubhouse because there you could also order food beside the buffet.

The Vila Vita Parc offers also a lot of different activities like playing golf, visiting a wine yard and also the wine cellar.

We spent most of our time on the privat beach by the sea. There you can get towels and also a sun lounger. As it is a private beach from the hotel, you have always somebody who guards the beach and your things. So you can leave your things there while you are swimming in the sea.

Although the sea was a little bit cold, it was very amazing to swim and snorkel in that bay. You will find very beautiful mussels. When you are swimming a little bit outside, you will find a lonely bay on your right where you can spend some time.

The Restaurants

During our stay in 1017, the Vila Vita Parc hosted 10 different restaurants and 6 bars in total. So basically you can eat very various food without even or almost without leaving the resort. We tried some of them and they were all amazing but my favorite one was the Ocean Restaurant. The restaurants might change over the time, but I’m sure that it will still be amazing to eat there.

Whale Restaurant

The Whale Restaurant is a casual restaurant where you can order food from all around the world. You are sitting just in front of the pool with a view over the Atlantic.

We ate at the Whale Restaurant at our first evening and I really enjoyed our meal. So whenever you want to go to a restaurant but don’t want to dress up really, the Whale Restaurant is the place to be.

Adega Restaurant

The Adega Restaurant is a Portuguese restaurant where you can enjoy a nice Portuguese meal with life music and a very nice view over the swan lake.

Vila Vita Biergarten

As it was almost Oktoberfest time when we were in Portugal, we had to try the Vita Vita Biergarten. This restaurant is located outside the resort but the reception will call you a shuttle, which will bring you to the restaurant.

It is a really nice restaurant with a traditional German menu card. Although it is served differently as in Germany, the food is very good and we enjoyed our time there.

Ocean Restaurant

The Ocean Restaurant is a two Michelin-starred restaurant with its Austrian Executive Chef Hans Neuner.

I can only tell you that if you have the occasion to book a table in this restaurant, just do it. It is simply delicious.

Aladin Grill Restaurant

The Aladin Grill Restaurant is a sort of live cooking restaurant where the kitchen is located in the middle of the room. The whole atmosphere remembers a Moroccan-inspired restaurant.

Basically they offer everything that can be grilled.

The Spa

As I like to try out every single Spa during my travels, I was quite curious about the Spa in the Vila Vita Parc. The Spa is located in a different building, which makes it a really quiet place to relax.

As our Algarve stay was a sort of relaxing stay, I offered myself two massages. On the one hand I had a back, neck, shoulder & head massage with food reflexology and on the other hand I had a Vitamin C & Papaya Enzyme Peel Facial treatment. I really enjoyed the two treatments, not only because of the massages, but also because of the whole atmosphere and of course because of the lady who did the massages to me.

Beside the treatments and massages, the Spa offers a lot of other relaxing activities. You’ll find a pool, a whirlpool, saunas and even an infrared sauna. When I had my appointments in the Spa, I had the complete Spa area to myself, which I really liked.

All in one, the Vila Vita Parc is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in and I would return every time I get the chance. Be sure to have a look at this amazing place to stay in the Algarve.
